Jet Retail Partners have the option to fulfill orders from their own fulfillment centers or from third-party drop shippers. Retailers will be able to choose specific operational settings for each of the fulfillment centers they set up. Jet does not yet offer fulfillment services for Retail Partners/Manufacturers/Distributors from Jet warehouses. Jet Retail Partners can also set up third party dropshippers as fulfillment nodes in the Jet Retail Partner Portal.

Retail partners that desire to use the drop ship model must specify all warehouses utilized via the Jet.com Partner Portal under "Fulfillment Settings". Multiple fulfillment centers can be set up at a drop ship level where SKU inventory must be specified at each unique fulfillment location. Retailers will also be able to specify which location is available to receive and accept returns, in which they can have one fulfillment center receive all returns or specify each center that accepts returns.
The shipment confirmation message must outline the specific returns location if the return needs to be sent to a specific location. Therefore, if a returns exception is not specified and a return location is not specified in the shipment confirmation section of the API upload, orders will be returned to the default returns location.
For more information on how to specify a return location for specific SKUs, please refer to the Returns Exception section of the Developer Portal, here.
If freight shipping is relevant to a retail partner’s SKU, coordination of delivery and returns are pertinent for a retail partner. If an item should be shipped via freight carriers, it is required to specify such in a shipping exception. SKU's must have this indicated so that it will notify Jet.com members to let them know that it may take longer for their order to be delivered.
When setting up the Freight delivery settings, Jet requires retailers to use "threshold" freight delivery instead of "curbside" freight delivery in order to maintain a great customer experience.
For any given freight return, an internal Jet.com team will coordinate with any retail partner for the return of a freight item.
For more information on Shipping Exceptions, please refer to the Developer Portal, here.
After an order is dealt, retailers must then prepare to ship and fulfill the order. Included within this process, retailers must configure packing slips for all Jet.com orders.
Packing slips should follow the attached guideline below, or be omitted.
